Great Reads for Boys Grade 1 & 2

If you have a reluctant reader what you will soon start to discover is that books at your readers level are simply too juvenille in subject matter. So here's my list of books for reluctant boy readers that have worked for us and are not too babyish. Happy reading!

  1. Thank you for this list. I am always looking for books for my boys. My first grader just got excited about Hank the Cow Dog books that his older brother is reading. I'm not sure he's able to read all the words, but he's enjoying it.! ;) That's all I care about right now.

  5. So glad you linked into the Kid Lit Blog Hop. I'm trying desperately to find books for my 6 year-old son without resorting to the Bad Kitties and Captain Underpants. I'll have to look into your suggestions. Thanks so much! I'm now a follower of yours. :)
