Quick Tip: Scissor Work

An easy way to get your preschooler cutting is with straws. They love when the straws shoot across the table! All you need is some straws, safety scissors and your supervision. If you want to expand this activity you can use the straw bits and glue them onto construction paper for a straw collage. We used our bits with our sticky window.

  1. What a great idea! My son has been struggling with his cutting skills. Why didn't I think of straws before? Instantly cut - not like having to continue along a piece of paper. Thanks for the inspiration.
