DAY 17 (25 days of summer homeschool)

Today we worked on letters and to keep things fresh I introduced my DIY ABC I spy bottle.

I recycled an olive oil bottle to create this ABC I Spy Jar. I added all 26 letters of the alphabet from pony beads I picked up at a local big box realtor and filled the bottle almost full with cheap white rice.
I glued the cap shut.

I took an ABC card leftover from a flashcard box and placed it into a clear document holder and then stapled the sides to keep it in place, thus creating a dry erase card. Lastly, add a dry erase marker or crayon and you are good to go!

Mr. Rolo loves checking off the letters and Miss Independent is more interested in shaking the bottle.
