Easy Shoe Box Diorama

All you need is a shoe box and bits and bobs from around the house to create a simple diorama.

Mr. Bright side and his BFF are HUGE Harry Potter fans so they decided to recreate their favorite scenes from the books.

Snape's Death Scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Graveyard Duel from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Other subject ideas: outer space, another planet, the moon, zoo, aquarium, north pole, camping, history scenes, fairy garden, beach, dinosaurs, ocean, jungle, rainforest, dollhouse room, farm, store, graveyard, haunted house, easter scene, nativity, desert, forest, restaurant, map of your neighborhood, and a garden...

Supply list: safari tubes, legos, mini objects, beads, sticks, rocks, shells, felt, stickers, pipe cleaners, toliet paper tubes, pom poms, tissue paper, markers, paint, paper, print off images from computer, magazine cut outs, tooth picks, string, tape, glue, velcro, fabric, ribbon, beans, artificial plants and flowers, sand, rice, foil, and glitter...

By far this is the most successful craft for 8 year old boys we have tried -- it kept them busy for two hours. Great rainy day play date activity!
