What We Are Reading In October

Miss Independant is in love with Pinkalicious: Pink or Treat! by Victoria Kahn. The book as to be expected has great illustrations and the conflict in the story revolves around bad weather possibly cancelling (gasp!) Halloween!

Mr. Rolo couldn't find a Halloween book he was interested in so he chose Pete The Cat: The First Thanksgiving by Kimberly & James Dean. Mr. Rolo is a huge fan of Pete the Cat and I love the mesage of gratitude for simple blessings.

Mr. Bright-side is reading It's Halloween and I'm Turning Green by Dan Gutman. These books always crack up my son, who is pretty picky when it comes to "cool" books. The book also has him asking me if he can trick or treat alone...um...NO!

Happy reading friends!

  1. My almost 3 year-old just loves Pete the Cat. We are waiting for our turn at the library to get the new Pete the Cat and the Magic Sunglasses!
