Airplane day at school is lots of fun. Check out the pictures below for lots of inspiration.

Books about airplanes.

Make your own airplane! We took one clothespins and two popsicle sticks to make these simple airplanes. We offered thin markers for decorating the planes. We had lots of great conversations about where the kids would fly if they could go for an airplane ride. One child said, "I fly to the circus."

Fun play sets with airplanes, little people and airports keep the kids engaged in dramatic play!

Get a great printable pretend play set for the airport here complete with tickets, bagdes and in-flight food menu.

Song to sing.

Little Airplane
(Tune: Frere Jacques)
Little airplane, little airplane,
In the sky, in the sky,
I can see you soaring,
I can see you soaring,
Up so high,
Up so high.

I hope you have a fun airplane day at home or in the class room. Bon Voyage!
