Olympic Book & Craft

I love the non-fiction picture book Olympics by BJ Hennessy. It gives preschoolers and early elementary children a complete overview of the sports of the summer and winter olympics as well as the larger meaning of the games. So in light of the olympics starting tomorrow we read the book in class today and did this simple olympic rings craft. We talked about how the colors represent the different regions of the world and how they are interlocking to symbolize friendship between nations.
